We need to send Nicolaj home to be buried in Denmark following a tragic fatal accident in New Zealand.

Sadly Nicolaj was taken from us far too early, he was only 26 years old and died doing what he loved alongside his best mate, with a smile on his face.

We are collecting money to contribute to transporting his body home to his Danish family. Any remaining funds will go to his family for them to use for his funeral arrangements.

I'm involved because I'm a close friend and part of his New Zealand family, but we need help to send him home to his Danish family. All donations will go to sending his body to Denmark, and potentially cover some of his funeral arrangements.

Nicolaj is home! 9 November 2016

Thanks to all of you wonderful people, we can now say that our beloved Son, Brother, Cousin, Grand child, Great mate and Friend Nicolaj Brun, has travelled from New Zealand, and back to his home country Denmark and he has been put to rest very close to his child hood home.

We had an incredibly emotional farewell to Nicolaj, and the Church was filled with wonderful people and decorated with beautiful flowers everywhere. All of these flowers now lie on and around Nicolaj's grave, reminding us of the beautiful human being we all knew and love so dearly.

Despite missing him every single day, and having shed so many tears over the loss of him, we are at the same time grateful. Grateful over the magnitude of all of your generosity and support.

From all his family and friends, there really is no words to express how grateful we are, but from the very bottom of our hearts - Thank you for your help.
