Luka was born with SCID - a serious primary immunodeficiency disorder. He has had a bone marrow transplant to give him a new immune system.
Nationwide
In May 2014 Luka was diagnosed as having SCID which is an immunodeficiency disorder (think the bubble boy) He has undergone may operations and procedures the major one being a bone marrow transplant. In Dec 2014 Luka and his parents Cassie and Josh have finally moved out Ronald McDonald House and closer to home in Christchurch. They must visit Starship hospital for monthly checkups. Recent tests have shown disappointing results with the donors DNA not being nearly as high as would be expected as this point. Our fingers are crossed for Luka that he will not have to have another transplant.
I am good friends with Cassie and created this cause to help alleviate some financial burden for the family while they are concentrating on Lukas health.
