This Friday is Lukas 1st Birthday - Happy Birthday Luka! Luka started his Chemo on Monday. He took his first treatment pretty well. The Immune Deficiencies foundation of New Zealand (IDFNZ) / Kids Foundation have added Luka to their ""Meet the families"" page on their web site. Luka is the youngest SCID patient that the foundation are helping with support at this time. Please visit the IDFNZ website and read about the fantastic work that the charity do to support families with Primary Immune Deficiency. Tomorrow is Cassie's birthday, there is no guessing what her birthday wish will be :) Today Cassie and Josh got to cuddle Luka for the first time in weeks. Can you imagine how hard it would be not being able to hold your baby for so long? Luka is still heavily sedated but has had a successful 24 hours off the ventilator, which is just fantastic news.
