Jogging for Joy: Running to Mend Little Hearts at Starship

Our family has recently unexpectedly encounted the fantatatic care of Starship's cardiologists. Though our journey and eventual diagnosis was determined to be mild, we realised that not all families have the same news.

As we navigated the healthcare system, we met families facing much adversity. Their courage inspired us to turn our love for family into a mission. In March 2024, me and a friend are taking on the 4x4x48 running challenge to raise funds for the Starship Children's Hospital, a lifeline for heart families.

Running four miles every four hours for 48 hours symbolizes the continuous battle some heart children can face. Our goal is to help the care Starship gives, continues, and no family feels alone in their journey. As our story embodies the power of love and solidarity. We stand with other parents, united by shared experiences, working toward a future where every child with a heart condition finds solace, healing, and hope.
