13 January 2016It is with great regret that we are posting to inform you that after comprehensive consultation with Jacob's medical / specialist team over the holidays it has been decided that Jacob's is no longer a candidate for a standing wheelchair due to a deterioration in his health.
Jacob has entered a phase where standing no longer looks possible.
We are understandably GUTTED but see that this is not possible.
It has always been our goal for Jacob to be an ordinary boy doing ordinary things.
He loves the outdoors,sports and interacting with his peers by being a part of everyday activities.
With this in mind we have decided to continue with our fundraising ventures by redirecting the funds towards an all- terrain motorized wheelchair.
This will enable Jacob to enjoy everyday activities that we take for granted and give him a freedom he currently does not have.
We thank you in advance for you understanding of the situation and your support in continuing to reach our goals.
We hope that our donors will be comfortable about redirecting their funds towards our worthwhile goal for Jacob.
