2 weeks ago Nicki was rushed to hospital and had emergency life saving surgery. Her diagnosis, cancer. They now have a long fight ahead of them and I would like to raise money to support them in their struggle. At only 37 Nicki deserves a long, happy, stress free life and I would like to help her.
Update for 12/05/2014 12 May 2014
By Kellyanne: So Nicki is home after 3 weeks in hospital. Another major op, this time to remove the tumour and clean up her insides. I read the post op report and it blew my mind, she is so very lucky to still be here, and if it wasn't for her age and that fact that she has wee Zander to care for, the surgeons probably would not have even attempted such a difficult surgery. She was full of infection, sepsus, abcesses, hardened bits, soft mushy bits, ""absolutely horrendous"" were the words used by the surgeon in the report. Your generous donations meant that Tony could be home with Zander for those 3 weeks which was a huge load off Nicki's mind and helped her to deal with her long hospital stay. She was home in time for Mothers Day, which was her goal , and Tony spoilt her rotten. Now she begins the long road to recovery and with all our warm wishes, support and positive attitudes I know next Mothers Day will be even bigger and better!
