Undertaking independent, up-to-date research on the underlying causes and effects of poverty. We work for better social policy for all New Zealand children. CPAG supports other organisations working to improve the situation of children in New Zealand.

"CPAG is a respected children’s policy research organisation, and strives to ensure children are the focus of New Zealand social policy. CPAG has helped forced the government to withdraw misleading advertising and reduce school exam fees. It has taken a landmark legal case, claiming parts of the Working for Families package breach the Human Rights Act. The case is ongoing."
