ARCS provides services to women, children and men who are survivors of sexual violence and their families. We work across all cultural groups and all age groups. Our services currently include, support, counselling, children’s programmes, preventative education programmes in High Schools, support groups and community education programmes.
Currently ARCS programmes are all provided free of charge, including counselling. Continued reduction in funding is threatening this and may force us to cut back on our vital education programmes. Our RESPECT programme in High Schools focuses on healthy relationships and we continually receive feedback on how valuable the teens find the programme. Prevention and changing attitudes is vital.
