I am walking (note the word walk, not run!) the 12km City to Surf in Christchurch on Sunday March 17th. I am raising funds for CanTeen, which is a teenage cancer charity that helps and supports young people going through cancer treatment.

We Did It! 22 March 2024
Well we did it! We joined a few thousand other people last Sunday morning to walk/run etc the 12km from Cranmer Square in Christchurch to New Brighton. Luckily it was the perfect day for it. We initially had a target of 3 hours but that soon changed to 21/2 hours. We actually completed it in 2 hours 15 minutes which we were very pleased with. The event was highly organised with plenty of stewards cheering us on.
I would like to thank everyone who donated to the cause. Thanks to you I raised nearly $1,700 for Canteen. Thanks also to Ellie and Rosie for joining me on the walk and to Steve for taking and fetching us and buying the much needed coffee afterwards!
Now what to do next year.........???
