      8 August 2013

Dallas's story: ""Kia Ora, It is abit emotional but its been an emotional month as it is my wifes unveiling of the headstone 24th of this month.........but once again thankyou for helping me to fundraise for her unveiling. My wife died 24th August 2012 at the young age of 30, 3 days after my birthday which she tried to at least live to see. Her occupation was being an awesome mother of our 4 children, 3 girls Jahneeka-Shanae 12yrs, Zaviar 10yrs,Daejahn 7yrs, and our son Hikairo 3yrs. She loved Zumba and was apart of the first Zumba Sessions back in round about 2010 in our community Camberley Hastings, organised by the cousin Kama Bartlett, my wife was supportive of Kama and the Zumba sessions as she lost alot of weight and looking really good she also built alot more confidence, social skills Zumba gave her motivation to keep going even though she was sick for some time and then got diagnosed with cancer and she kept going until she could no longer be mobile....it was from there she realised she wanted to be a nail beautician/nail pedicure, but it was too late the cancer was too big and she needed to be operated on and needed to go through chemo therapy in Palmerstn North Hospital.. I am a solo father now,but at the time i was working as a youth worker for Te Ora Hou Hawkes Bay, my wife was sick for about 10 months before she got diagnosed with stomach cancer, that's when i stopped working and became my wifes full time carer, i was doing art projects around Hawkes Bay to make money to get us through the hard financial times. As my wife got more sick i took on the responsibilities of taking care of our children and house chores all the mother jobs as well as my wife. Even though my wife has now passed on to a place where there is no more pain i am still carrying on with the roles as a father and my style and way of being a mother for my children. They are my strength and reason to keep going and doing the best i can and loving each moment with my children as life is too short.""Its not until you lose something it makes you realise you had something, and when its gone you realise that somethings are as precious as somethings like a pounamu"".Dont take things for granted its not until its gone and we realise what we had........ I am privileged to be apart of this fundraiser as i am doing artwork around New Zealand fundraising for my wifes headstone unveiling is held 24th August 2013, 2pm at Utainania Urupa,Te Puke a year from my wifes passing away,.I did some graffiti art work for 2 other Cross Fit Gyms in Hawkes Bay,Crossfit Hawkes Bay in Havelock North and The Patu Gym in Hastings on Orchard Rd and the money went towards cost of the headstone, the news got around and Anastacia and her husband were interested in my story about my wifes passing and me fundraising for her unveiling, i have done CrossFit in the past as i used it to help me physically get fit mentally help me and get me into shape, its the best training ever a man could want, i encourage alot of fighters to do CrossFiut to help them physically get in shape fast in a real healthy, fun and safe way. To have WOF CrossFit get hold of me to come through and do some artwork put some colour into there CrossFit box i was like YEEEEAAAAHH.......My wife has been watching over me because Graffiti Art Projects have just been flowing in at the right times and i haven't had to stress out about where my children gonna stay whos gonna look after the kids while i paint, everything just seems to fall into place, i know there's got to be a light at the end of the dark tunnels we end up in but we just gotta keep moving and moving forward in a direction that involves security, love and happiness with my children. Sorry it is abit late was hard to type up stuff it bought back the memorys it bought tears to my eyes but thank you so much honestly, good things happen good people, and i really hope that this fundraiser goes off for Sam & Ana and the whole team.........even though the fundraiser is in October the money will go into our family trust account for our children's education....... Type up Graffitti Art Mural Henry Hill School is the latest video of me on youtube, doing some artwork fundraising for the unveilling, i am yet to create a new facebook page with my artwork and thank all those who helped me fundraise. Thankyou Dallas Rikiti-Halbert aka D.TUBZ
