Dyskeratosis Congenita (DC) affects many parts of the body - increased risk of developing several life-threatening conditions (bone marrow failure, lung problems, leukemia and other cancers). An opportunity has arisen for Tony to meet with a team of DC specialists at Boston’s Children’s to try to find a solution.

I'm motivated by the needs locally and globally of those who are marginalised, in poverty, unsupported, and often don't get the chance to realise their dreams.

I want to be involved in projects that get real results for people, particularly those who are in the list above.

Day to day my role is CEO of an international Youth Mentoring organisation, an evidence-based model called Big Brothers Big Sisters.

It's a practical, heart-warming way of helping children reach their potential. It's part of the BIG picture and makes a real impact in people's lives. The need is great, but so are the rewards.

Why am I involved? Because it's too important not to be!

Funds will be paid to a verified bank account of Dave Marshall.
