Support Sherpa families affected by the Anzac day avalanche...
Auckland
Ever since Sir Ed and Tenzing summited Everest in 1953, Kiwis have had a strong bond with Nepal and the Nepalese people.
Sherpa families are again suffering - losing husbands, fathers, sons and livelihoods in the Everest Base Camp (EBC) avalanche on Anzac day.
Three experienced Sherpa in my friend's team were killed by this avalanche. A huge loss for their families, not least of all their future livelihood..
Please help support these families now !!
C4CNZ will personally deliver 100% of donations to the families when we attempt to summit Mera Peak later this year.

Friends who guided me on Kilimanjaro 2014 (and for Mera Peak - Nepal Oct 2015), were arriving at Everest Camp 1 when the earthquake and subsequent avalanche struck Base Camp.
They have now been airlifted down to safety but have lost all their gear, all hope of climbing again this season, and three of their team mates...
