This fund is to benefit the late Seamus Hogan's children by supporting their education.

Seamus was a dedicated educator who loved learning and passed that on to all those he taught. This fund is to allow his children to progress in the thing that he found to be most important. This is how we want to honour his legacy.

This fund is created by former colleagues of Seamus Hogan at the Department of Economics and Finance at the University of Canterbury who loved him and were inspired by his passion for teaching and care of students.

The Hogan family should be extremely proud. I hope that this donation, in some small way, helps his children follow in his footsteps. It's the very least I could do given what Seamus did for me.

Seamus was wonderful to have as a visitor to New Hampshire and made me feel so welcome in Christchurch. I am very shocked and sad. He was a really wonderful person.

I met Seamus when he was a young scholar, but only infrequently after that. Nonetheless, every time I did see him we had great conversations. His passion for economics and teaching were inspirational. I'm sure he will be missed by all who knew him.
