Re-New is second chances for products and people
Hawke's Bay
So many people start with so little, and lose so much, at Re-New I want to help change that.
At Re-New I am trying to create something special. I'm trying to create a workshop space where people can come repair, restore, repurpose, recycle, upcycle, create and recreate items otherwise destined for landfill and turn them into items destined for new homes, and earn an income from it.
But, not just giving 'things' a new life, giving themselves one. I want to give people an opportunity to make new start, or grow an old dream into a new opportunity, or income, or just take a new path they may not have seen before.
It's a place to help people who might not have any other opportunities, to gain a freedom they may not otherwise have, to earn and learn, and share skills, experience and knowledge, and nurture the real "Can Do Kiwi" attitude.
Should we not raise the full amount, the any money raised will be used to continue to facilitate and grow the Re-New Sustainable Markets, until such time as we can raise enough funds to create the workshop. We won't stop trying to create second chances!
Renting, fitting out, and supporting a workshop for people who want to create something new, and have an outlet to sell through, that will allow them to set their own prices and keep the money they earn.
Extended fundraising 3 February 2023
We have decided to extend the closing date of the fundraiser, to give more people a chance to get involved.
I know everyone is struggling, at the moment, and I am hoping, with your help we can help you.
With this workshop, and store, you will have a place be able to learn how to restore damaged items from your home, or replace them at an affordable price. Or create, or recreate something you have, to sell and earn through our store.
This is a place for all of us, whether we are starting new, or starting anew.
