Nelson Mail health reporter Emma Beer is swapping her stilettos for snap-ons and getting on her bike for a good cause.

The Glenhope to Murchison bike race on Sep 16 is a fundraiser for the Nelson/Marlborough hospices.

All money pledged will be going directly to hospice, so even if you sponsor her 50cents a km, every little bit helps. Thanks!

Done and dusted! 17 September 2012

Well, I did it. I went, I rode, I finished. In 1.35.07, which I must say I'm very proud of! I spoke to the race organisers and they have raised just over $3000 - so with the extra money you guys have pledged for me, we will be very close to $3500, which is fantastic. Also spoke to Nelson Hospice this morning adn they are incredibly grateful for all the fundraising that's been done Thank you all for your support :)
