6th September reaches the month mark. Carter and Mum together up in Starship/Ronald McDonald. Dad travelling back and fourth each week in between work, bringing Carters sisters. An HRV unit gets installed in their home, the first step of preparation.
30th of August - A huge turn around for week three. Carter and Mum are moved to Ronald McDonald house. Carters results improve greatly and the doctors are extremely pleased with the changes. Dad has left to go look after Carters sisters.
23rd August and baby Carter had lost a lot of weight. The Nora virus throwing another hurdle in Carters recovery. 14days with Mum and Dad at his bedside. Carters sisters have had two weeks without Mummy and Daddy but had incredible support from friends and family.
16th August - One week post transplant. Carter begins his recovery from this huge operation and the families life is flipped upside down!
At 11:15pm on Saturday the 8th of August, Carters family got the call! A liver had become available, was a perfect match and was coming his way!
The family had to quickly pack up and drive five hours to Auckland where the staff at Starship were waiting for Carter.
At 9.30am on Sunday 9th of August, Carter underwent his Liver Transplant.
