Lilliput Libraries are tiny community libraries scattered around Dunedin. People are encouraged to 'take a book now, leave a book later'.

Lilliput Libraries is the 2015/16 project of Poems in the Waiting Room (NZ). We already have 60 Lilliput Libraries operating in Dunedin and another 30 are being painted. We're hoping to fund at least 21 more. We've been gifted paint and labour so now we're just trying to cover the material costs. With 21 Guardians waiting for 'their' neighbourhood library we need your help.
About us
With the increased usage of cellphones as 'reading' material in waiting rooms Poems in the Waiting Room(NZ)ceased publication in 2021 after the 50th edition. Now as Poetryinmotion we're taking poetry off the page and spreading it throughout our Dunedin community. Look out for poems painted on steps and seats, PoARTry exhibitions, street poetry................
