Clan together and help us ease some of the stresses that come with having Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML)
Otago
John was leading his normal life in Central Otago, when he became quite unwell. Thinking it was the flu he carried on until it became too over bearing. His family members advised him to go to the doctor.
John was diagnoised with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) on 21st April 2015. This was devastating for John.
As his illness started to unfold it outlined how long this road would be.
John has been off work since diagnosed with AML.
The treatment is of no cost to John however there are always expenses occurring.
Sometimes we often don't realise how people's lives are effected when there is loss of income.
The money raised will be to help with the expenses occurred for John,
While in Dunedin hospital,ie vehicle expenses and accommodation for a support person while in Dunedin .
With living in Cromwell we are quite some distance from Dunedin and these expenses all add up.
John is also unable to work and will not be able to for quite sometime.
He has loving family and friends supporting him, but we hope you could find it in your hearts to give John a little help along the way.
This is a family involvement to help John get to the end of his treatment.
-- Funds will be paid to a verified bank account of John and Patricia McKay --
