  • After 3 treatments.....

      10 October 2015

"After three treatments of Pembrolizumab even though there are down days, I'm feeling pretty good! I have breathlessness still but have worked out how to manage it.

The pain in my chest and the swelling has reduced. At this stage I like to think this has reduced by the treatment, it could be from the medication though."

"I'm better able to tolerate food in the last couple of days and this has made everything better."

"I'm not up to getting back to work, but I'd like to think I could get out there and at least have a look at what I'm missing out on!

  • Positive news on travel front

      16 September 2015

A private medical oncologist in Palmerston North has agreed to take over the responsibility of administering the drug Pembrolizumab . This is a great news for Sandra and Ross as they now don't have the stress and expense of travelling up to Auckland for the treatment.

  • Weber Ram shear proves great success

      16 September 2015

Last Friday at least 25 shearers and shed hands came together and shore the local male sheep flock. A big physical job and the money the shearers and shed hands normally would have earned, was given to Sandra to support her cause. Fundraisers like these and the auction night, are great fun and bring the community together.

  • Weber community fundraiser

      16 September 2015

A very successful fundraiser was organised by the Weber community. The Weber hall was packed for the quiz night and auction. It showed the strength of small, tight knit communities in fundraising for one of its own.
