Operation for Aviu
16 August 2015Many of you will already know that Aviu has had another win.....the New Zealand doctors have decided that they will operate again to reduce the mass of his tumour, something they said they wouldn't do. We aren't sure if this is a consequence of a recent hospital admission or the fact we know that the local health board was reviewing Aviu's case, but either way it's a step in the right direction. This is something Aviu has been pushing for as it will relieve some of the pressure he has on his brain and hopefully allow him to reduce his steroids.
The end goal is still to see Professor Charles Teo in Sydney to see how he can help, but the focus at the moment is on Aviu's operation tomorrow to reduce the tumour. Please everyone send Aviu your love. He has his great mates Abe and Blake with him in Auckland along with Shelley, Joe, Maninoa and his mum.
