Alphabet Soup is a group for LGBT* and questioning 12-18 year olds in Dunedin. We provide free snacks, fund activities and a chance to meet like-minded people. The youth leaders who facilitate the meetings are community support workers and OUSA Queer Support volunteer Interns. We have received funding from the Ara Taiohi and The Rule Foundation, however this funding runs out in September! We will be applying for a grant in the September DCC funding round, however their grants do not get approved until December. So we need money to help us get through the rest of the year.
The OUSA Queer Support Coordinator provides a wide range of support to the queer community, including running Alphabet Soup.
Doing everything, and providing the ultimate student experience.
