AcuddleForBeau

On January 30th 2015 our lives changed for the worst. Our precious wee man Beau Patrick Olson was born sleeping at 36 weeks. While we were in hospital we were very lucky that the amazing midwifes checked the ice packs in the bassinet for Beau and would keep changing them as Beau needed to be kept cool. We were lucky that we were given the option to be able to take Beau home and place him in his bassinet. However we had to take home ice packs that needed to be changed regularly. At the time this is the last thing that as parents you need or want to think about. Nick and I were very lucky that we had family and friends that would keep an eye on the ice packs and change them.

We are fundraising for a cuddle cot for the Wairarapa Hospital. A cuddle cot allows parents to be able to take their angel baby home and place them in their bassinet. It is a cooling system which fits inside a bassinet and preserves angel babies.

It allows grieving parents the opportunity to be able to take home their babies and spend as much time as possible with their newborn- to take pictures, hold their newborns, create memories and grieve for their loss.

The Cuddle cots cost $5000 and are imported from the UK.

Anything will help this wonderful cause and Nick and I are hoping that by fundraising for a Cuddle cot for the Wairarapa Hospital we are giving parents the opportunity to create memories with the little time that have.

All proceeds will go towards the Cuddle Cot for Wairarapa Hospitail and for purchasing the bassinett and linen.

The money will go into a verified bank account named C A PERCY which once the target is reached will pay for the Cuddle cot.
