I'm a 16 year old singer-songwriter from Christchurch, ready to release my first major recording! This will be an EP of 5-7 songs.

STRETCH GOAL 5k:
Any extra money we raise will go towards my first Music video and promoting the EP, which will help get these songs out there.
I'm a 16 year old singer-songwriter from Christchurch. For the past two years, I’ve been working hard to develop my sound with my management (Smoke Music, the team behind Parachute Festival), and we now feel that it’s time to release my first collection of songs.
In 2013, I had the chance to perform on Parachute Festival’s Mainstage, singing to over 20,000 people as part of their talent competition. I came second, and began working with the team there.
In 2014, I wrote an anti-bullying song, ‘One Voice’ and launched a NZ-wide campaign around it to be used in schools. It received major media coverage, and support from a range of people - from John Kirwan to Seven Sharp. This was my first release.
After the release, I teamed up with a youth organization, Zeal, to create an online Anti-Bullying Resource for schools which is now being used world wide!

I now want to release an EP of 5-7 songs (without any help from a record label) in early 2016.
BUDGET NEEDED:
The $12,000 will go towards:
Studio hire, a producer and engineer, mixing and mastering, and EP artwork. There will also be some travelling costs, as I’ll be coming up to Auckland to work on the EP.
I'll spend the next six months developing this EP (around school commitments). This will involve finishing my songs, co-writing with other songwriters, finding a producer to record the songs, and developing my brand to release strong imagery alongside the music.

The 'One Voice' song was downloaded 50,000 in the first week, across 150 countries.
In 2014, I was awarded a Youth Week 'Change Maker' award from the Ministry of Youth Affairs.
