Beginning from an electronic newsletter, The Big Idea has grown into an essential resource. A lean operation, we have demonstrated social enterprise and community development in action to become one of NZ's best on-line communities.
Serving over 1 million visitors annually we have costs like any other site: servers, power, software and people. And we need your help.

The Big Idea serves over a million people every year. That's a big number. When The Big Idea started 12 years ago, we never imagined that our community would grow to such a scale. We began an innovative journey to serve the creative community that continues to this day. Wefve worked hard over the years - staying focused and lean. But we need your help. If everyone reading this donated $5, our annual fundraiser would be done in an hour. But not everyone can or will donate. Can you help make a difference?
