Hi all FDP supporters! Just a quick update on what's been happening in FDP world. We had a committee meeting earlier this week and excited to say there are lots of exciting things in the pipeline for fundraising ideas and events. One of the events which we plan on having at numerous sites around the region will be a movie night down at your local theatre. We hope to hold this in all the main centers that will benefit from having the Dialysis Campervan including Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne and we may even have an extra event in Auckland just because we can If you wanted to be involved in helping organize this or any other event to help with raising funds for the project send us an email. Wow! We have got off to a great start with over a thousand dollars already donated within our first week of having the site up. Feeling extremely grateful for the generosity shown. A massive thanks to you all!! We have set a goal of raising $150k which includes all the setup costs of purchasing and modifying the campervan and getting the project up and running for the first year. A little way to go yet but a fantastic start.

Welcome everyone to the first posting of our Freedom Dialysis Project give-a-little website. This has been a dream of mine for over two years to make this project happen. We formed our committee at the start of this year (2014) and we have been busy setting up as a Charitable Trust, researching campervan options and working out how the whole service will work. We are now entering the second phase and I have got to say the exciting part of the project - Fundraising :) The give-a-little site is a key part in the project, not only for all you people who have found this site and are contributing but also to promote the events we are looking at holding over the coming months to fundraise towards the project.
