  • Week Two in Copenhagen

      16 December 2009

We are in Copenhagen for week two of the negotiations! Here's the intro from our latest update to supporters. Our strategy in Copenhagen involves communication with youth in NZ, and sharing their message over here. Every morning a couple of people from our delegation meet with members of the New Zealand delegation. We are also working on communicating your message direct to the delegation by delivering regular ""mail"" from youth in New Zealand (send a message to us at nzyd2009@gmail.com!) And on Saturday, NZYD's spinnaker, with the voices of hundreds of New Zealand youth on it, was in the climate march with over 100,000 people here in Copenhagen! If you'd like to receive our remaining newsletters please send us an email at nzyd2009@gmail.com or visit http://www.youthdelegation.org.nz www.youthdelegation.org.nz and sign up! This holiday season why not ""give-a-little"" to the New Zealand Youth Delegation on behalf of another youth in your life! Thanks for all your support! ?

  • Thanks to everyone who came out to support our auction fundraiser!

      26 November 2009

NZYD would like to thank everyone who supported us at the Bag Auction Fundraiser on Thursday 19th November. The night was a real success. Much of that success was because of the many people and organisations who chipped in to help us out. Whether?they donated an item to the auction, bought something at the auction, or just came along to show?their support, we really appreciate all that was done. These actions and the donations through givealittle make it possible for young people like us to attend Copenhagen, and ensure the youth voice is heard at this critical moment in history. On the night, we raised a couple thousand dollars ? money which will go towards our food, accommodation, and transport?budget in Copenhagen. Although attendance was a bit low, everyone had a great evening!? You can view a http://picasaweb.google.com/nzyd2009/BagAuctionFundraiser?feat=directlink."">slide show of the evening here Of course, this is just the beginning, and the next few weeks offer the greatest challenges and opportunities for us. To follow our journey, be sure to check http://www.youthdelegation.org.nz"" the website, our http://www.facebook.com/pages/NZYD/88972663652""facebook page, and our http://www.twitter.com/nzyd"" twitter updates in the coming weeks. We will also be sending out e-mail updates, so if you are interested in receiving those, then sign up on our website. Thanks again for all your support and we look forward to keeping in touch, NZYD
