The Mission of the Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust is reducing suicide in Aotearoa by:

Supporting people at risk of suicide and their whanau

Providing community education

Increasing community awareness

Providing bereavement support

Reducing stigma

Local and national advocacy

Life Matters encourages and facilitates open dialogue in the community about the causes and effects of suicide.

We organise a wide range of suicide prevention training workshops and information evenings with relevant speakers as well as regular ongoing bereavement and prevention support.

Life Matters also organises important events in our community as HopeWalk and World Suicide prevention Day.
