About Us:
What we're doing to make a difference:
ChildFund works in partnership with children, their families and communities to provide practical support including life-saving healthcare, access to safe water, nutrition, opportunities to learn and to earn an income, and HIV & AIDS education and prevention. We help communities to create lasting change by promoting children’s rights and supporting community development aimed at achieving self-sufficiency.
Our track record:
One example of many is in Emali, Kenya where ChildFund New Zealand is helping the community support its orphans and vulnerable children. A project to provide safe water to 248 families involved digging wells that reduced the average time to collect water from six hours to 41 minutes and dramatically reduced the incidence of waterborne diseases.
