Sustainable Living

Description

What we're doing to make a difference:

We organise evening classes, recruit, inform and support tutors; get local councils involved; help to promote both the programme and its impacts in the media. SLET is independent of commercial interests so that its information and advice is seen to be reliable - help us to keep it that way!

Our track record:

2,000 participants in workshops and courses each year; 7 years in operation - initially 8 council areas and now grown to 25. Subject range is: organic gardening, including nature conservation in the backyard, water use and avoiding pollution, travel and shopping choices for lower carbon living, eco-building, energy efficiency, waste minimisation, community resilience.
