So, it's about time for an update...
We've just come back from yet another sausage sizzle outside the Westmere Butcher. Myer's mate Connor, who is also joining him on the UK trip, has spear-headed the sizzles, with lots of help from his great parents Greg and Anna. Lately Anna's been starting mid-morning and working through to 2pm, so if you're in the area or need some new chicken, pork, mince, lamb, rissoles or anything delicious of the meat variety, pay a visit to the Westmere Butcher and buy a sausage off us while you're there.
The boys' UK training is going very well, and tonight we also have a team Quiz Night out at Sacred Heart college. The night is a chance for us to raise a bit of cash for the kids, and to celebrate them as a team, and what they're about to embark on.
More updates to follow.

On the note of quiz nights, we've also taken it upon ourselves to run one at the Seddon fields clubrooms of Western Springs football club on Friday 4th September. This will just be to raise money for Myer and Connor. Individual tickets can be bought for $15, or a table of 8 can be bought for $100. Message me if you want in!

Today the boys' club team (WSAFC 12th Grade Joga Bonito) played a HUGE match against their long-time foes, Bay Olympic. The result was a 3-2 win for Joga (right at the death!) and this result sees Myer's team sit in 1st place with just one game to go!!
If they win next week (and it'll be another tough game) they will win the premier grade for their age group for the third consecutive year.
Messages of support, floral wreaths, home-made banners and product endorsement offers are welcome!!

Hey supporters!
So the sausage sizzles are going great guns down there at the Westmere Butcher. We've done 3 now, and the boys are making good progress through their fundraising targets. Come and see us every Saturday from about 12 midday - 4pm.
Myer is also helping train the Western Springs 8th Grade rep team for their upcoming tournaments, so for once he's the older kid on the pitch!
Gina's have also performed extremely well in their partnership with Myer and Connor, spurring on three good weeks of profits off their two most popular pizzas sold in the restaurant. Big thanks to Alessandro and Joyce for their support!
Myer's second Auckland trial went well, and we'll know in a week or so if he's been picked.
He also started training yesterday with the team he's touring UK with, and it was a good first session by all accounts. Both coaches are expecting big things from these young boys.
Thanks again for your support, and thanks for reading this!

Hi everyone,
Thanks for visiting my Give-a-little page!
So far fundraising for my trip is going pretty well. Aside some great friends donating their own money, I have made partnerships with Gina's Pizza and Pasta Bar in Auckland and the Westmere Butcher, and both companies have set up plans to share their profits with me!
At Gina's, between now and September '09, if you buy a Bodo's Speciale or L'Estate pizza from Gina's, they'll donate $3 to my travel fund! How cool is that?!
My friend Connor is splitting the Gina's fundraising with me, and we will also be doing sausage sizzles outside the Westmere Butcher in Auckland - they have given us free sausages so we can make as much money as possible!
You can visit the website of my Elite Football Academy at www.TakeaTouch.co.nz, and also see my blog at www.MyerCrane.blogspot.com.
Thanks so much for your support!
