Auckland
Spark New Zealand employee Marcelo Vanzuita is embarking on a new journey, which will see him run the 700km from Wellington to Auckland – all for charity.
Departing on Friday 18 August from Spark Central in Wellington, Marcelo will cover 50-60km a day, arriving at Spark City in Auckland sometime between Monday 28 and Wednesday 30 August.
Not a race, this is a charity run to support Paralympics New Zealand.
Spark staff are being encouraged to run with Marcelo along his journey. Whether they’re up for 1km, 10km or even 21km – no matter the distance, Marcelo welcomes all runners! There will be a number of marked locations along the way where people can join Marcelo.
Spark employees will also be encouraged to donate towards the charity run, with all proceeds going to Paralympics New Zealand.
A special thanks to the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) for their assistance and support in defining the most safe and appropriate route for Marcelo.
All the best with the charity run Marcelo – all of Spark will be behind you!
