So They Can’s mission is to work together with communities in Africa to educate and empower, so they can break the poverty cycle.

International

An intrepid group of runners are training for a 1/2 marathon with a difference. This 21 km race is held in the middle of the Masai Mara game park. Runners are joined by migrating animals including giraffe and wildebeest (and think about what carnivorous animals follow the migration!!!).

They are doing this to raise funds for So They Can.

Samantha Hayes tells us: I’ve never run further than 10km but I’ve been assured the Masai Mara half marathon is mainly flat so I might just stand a chance, if I can stay out of the path of migrating wildebeest!

Raewyn Phipps has been training hard in the cold Wanaka winter and is now good to go!!!
