Blue Dragon Trust to help needy children in Vietnam

Wellington

We’re doing this for a great cause. The money we raise will go towards Blue Dragon's rescue work over the coming year for children in real need in Vietnam.

Blue Dragon receives calls for help from people who have been trafficked into sexual and labour slavery, both within Vietnam and into China.

They find trafficked people - mostly women and children, but men sometimes too - and bring them home. We're running the annual appeal for this work right now, and you can see some films we've posted on the website - www.bluedragon.org/

Steve Walters' involvement (page creator)

I’m competing for two reasons. Firstly because this is such a great cause. I’d be devastated if my children were ever in the outrageous situation of being trafficked into child prostitution or slavery, and I think it’s important to help fellow humans where we can. Please get behind this to stop these crimes happening, whether it’s contributing to my give-a-little page (my target is $3k), buying a seat at one of the tables for $150, sponsoring me or the event, or providing auction items.

Secondly I’m doing it for the personal challenge of putting my body on the line. I’m not guaranteed a fight, and if I do get a fight I’m not guaranteed a win, but I’m doing all I can to be victorious on the night. If I inspire others in my journey - great. Please support “Smashin’ Steve Walters” and this great cause if you can!
