Taking on the Ocean Swim Series

  • Sand to Surf Swim

      30 March 2014

Last weekend Neil, Tracy and I competed in the 5th race, Sand to Surf, at the Mount. Despite the course change to Pilot Bay, because of incorrect winds, it was a beautiful day and a great swim. Just one swim left in the Series - King of the Bays, April 12th in Auckland. Thank you all for you generous support!

  • Capital Classic Swim

      29 January 2014

Despite crossing my fingers and hoping for the best, Wellington was Wellington. Predicted gale force winds reduced the Capital Classic swim to a 2km contingency course. Although I was a bit disappointed that we weren't able to swim out to the lighthouse, I was grateful I only had to endure the cool, choppy waters for 2km. As always, it was fantastic crossing the finish line and even more so because of the challenging conditions. Bring on the next swim!

  • Thank you, thank you!

      20 January 2014

Thank you all. I am so grateful for your support! Two swims down, four to go! I have had an amazing time so far travelling around NZ to participate. The first swim was local, the Auckland Harbour Crossing, followed by a 3.3km swim from Russell to Paihia in the stunning Bay of Islands. This weekend I will be heading to Wellington for the Capital Classic, 3.3km swim. We have had perfect conditions for each swim, so hopefully Wellington follows suit. Here's hoping....
