Trenton, father of two children, loving Husband fighting Cancer needs drug not funded by Pharmac as a potential life changer.
Waikato
Trenton was first diagnosed with Myeloma(a form of bone marrow Cancer) in 2009. It has been a marathon of treatment-some working and some not. He has had two stem cell transplants, various chemos and steroids- none of which are effective any more.
The next option is Pomalidomide, which is not funded. It costs 20,000 plus gst, for the treatment.
As a Father of two young children 9 and 7 he wants to be around to watch them grow up.
Trenton has a long history with the aviation industry, starting with his years in the Air Force and culminating with his current job with a local company manufacturing planes.
As his wife I have spent over 20 years nursing mostly in Emergency departments around New Zealand helping others. Now I ask for your help.
My involvement stems from being his loving wife.I have watched his strength of character in tackling this Cancer and his drive to keep alive for me and our children. This drug will give us a chance to spend more time together.
