Advanced breast cancer support for Tina and her family.
Manawatu / Whanganui
I am fundraising to help support Tina and her family while she undergoes treatment for stage 4 breast cancer. She is the mother to two beautiful little girls, step mother to two boys, and partner to Rob.
Tina was recently diagnosed with breast cancer after finding a large lump in her breast. Within a few short weeks it was discovered to have gone to her liver. This is sometimes known as metastatic and can only be controlled by treatment for so long.
She has begun her chemotherapy treatment and as part of that needs to have extended periods off work unpaid. At times Rob needs to join her for extra support which is also unpaid time off work.
I want to raise as much as we can to help the family through so that they can focus all their energy on fighting this awful disease without the stress of how they are going to pay the bills.
Tina and Rob have recently got engaged and we would love to be able to give them a very special day. Tina would also dearly love to take all the children away for a family holiday. Something they have never done.
Tina is a proud woman and would never ask for help so I am doing it for her, with her permission of course.
Please share this page far and wide and help us give Tina, Rob and family all the support we can to help them through.
I am a close friend of Tina and Rob. I want to do everything I can to help them through this time in their lives.
A message from Tina :) 21 March 2016
I would like to thank everyone that has donated to my cause, it has been very overwhelming with all the generosity that you guys have shown. Rob, the kids and I had a wonderful day on our wedding day, it was the most amazing day ever. Everything was perfect. We also had a wonderful holiday/honeymoon in Vanuatu last month. Without your help none of this would have been possible.
Even though my treatment will be never ending I am still trooping on trying to make the most of everyday the best I can. Thanks once again.
