Keep the Mill Gym Kaikohe Open

$31,084 of $30,000 goal
Given by 218 generous donors in around 6 months

Youth behaviour has been a huge problem in Kaikohe for many years. The Mill Gym is making a difference. Help keep them open.

Northland

The Mill Gym urgently requires $30,000 to ensure they can stay open for the next 12 months and continue to offer a positive social intervention and physical training for the Kaikohe youth.

Free admittance of youth is growing with an average of 500 free admissions per month, due to growing numbers it is becoming more and more difficult to continue The Mill Gym operation unless financial support is forthcoming.

After all is said The Mill Gym’s aim is to improve the community of Kaikohe and ensure the youth of Kaikohe are kept safe and have some positivity in their lives.

Thank you SO much from The Mill Gym  20 September 2016

Hi there

On behalf of our 2 full-time and 2 part-time volunteers and the teenagers of Kaikohe, thank you for helping Te Mira (The Mill Gym) with your donation recently.

An average of 400 – 500 young people from Kaikohe use the gym free of charge every month, all that attend improve their fitness, health and mental strength.

Your donation fuels us to keep on helping kids like 16 year old Tela who has been coming to The Mill Gym since she was 12. Over the past 4 years Tela has reached her goal weight, aced her fitness training and plans to do one more year at Northland College before joining NZ Army.

Several of our Givealittle supporters expressed an interest in powering our programmes into the future and they mentioned regular, smaller donations were preferred – which would be awesome for us. This can be done through Givealittle Plan, more information for which can be found here - givealittle.co.nz/Content/howgivealittleworks/givealittle-plan. Alternatively, e-mail marketing@givealittle.co.nz

Thanks again for your support!
