About the cause:

My son Alex was born at 33 wks weighing 1.2kgs requiring a 51 day stay in NICU. I am running 720km in 51days to raise money for Neonatal Trust and to raise awareness and offer support to families currently in NICU. The money will be used to furnish 3 new hospital rooms enabling mums to stay closer to their babies.

Update for 05/01/2013

The running is going well with over 450km completed but only 12 days to do another 270km so it will be a busy couple of weeks. I am currently planning the route for the final 51km run on January 17th. It would be great if anyone would like to join me for part of it (or all if you are keen) or cheer me on. The route should be on facebook in the next couple of days. If you are not on facebook email me and I will forward the route details on cheshireej21@yahoo.com

I am utterly blown away by everyone's generosity, you are amazing. To be honest I have started to find the running very very challenging and questioning whether I would be able to carry on, but seeing the donation flood in over the last couple of days has re-inspired me to get out there and keep going. We currently have raised enough to almost furnish one room which is brilliant, but we have two more to go! Thank you all so much for your incerdible support.
