TO BUILD AND SELL TWO HOUSES TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE HOMELESS IN INVERCARGILL

Over 120 Southlanders are living on the streets, and hundreds more seek the help of the Salvation Army each year. With the help of the community, Invercargill Rotary clubs are building two homes to sell and raise money for Breathing Space Trust. The proceeds will help provide shelter, education and counselling for the homeless.

Rotary is an international service organisation with the motto Service Above Self. Rotary members pitch in together to help make our communities a better place. There are currently six Rotary Clubs in Invercargill. They have a history of working together on projects like the Estuary Walkway. Each week throughout the build these Rotary Clubs are pitching in with landscaping, painting, baking and promoting their cause.
