Pinehaven Community Bike Track

$2,050 donated
Given by 25 generous donors in around 4 months

Help us build a bike track on our school grounds that will be available for the community to use outside of school hours.

Wellington

What we want to do?

We are building 3 separate tracks:

- 500m loop track

- skills track with 8 obstacles

- pump track

We have already generated $34,000 and need to generate another $13,000. We need the money asap as we have committed to building the track and continue to generate funding through local fundraising if necessary.

Who will use the track?

Our children will use the track during the school day as part of our curriculum delivery. The local Playcentre will also have access to the track. Outside of school hours, anyone can come and use our tracks. We are building a community asset.

Why will it make a difference?

We are keen to help our children develop a love of cycling. The track will help promote healthy lifestyles and a develop childrens' confidence to use cycling as a mode of transport. We hope to reduce road traffic around our school, making it a safer place where sustainability is a focus. We also want to develop increased resilience in our children, allowing them to take risks in a safe environment.

Why should you donate?

Help to build a community asset. If you are in the Wellington region, you can use our track with your own friends and family. Donate so that our children develop and understanding of sustainable transport and healthy lifestyles.

About us

We promote community involvement in learning and enable children to develop resilience and independence through play in an environment with managed risks. We hope to fundraise for a sandpit and other outdoor equipment for our tamariki.
