Orphanage Cycle

  • We did it!!

      20 October 2014

We did it - huge thanks to all supporters and answered prayers. We got only a 10min spit of rain while Auckland was in torrential downpour. The wind was behind us, both as a northerly then north wester as we turned to Thames My tyre punctured right at the end and with it perforated earlier at the side its a miracle I wasn't hurt after 2 descents at 60km/hr at the end. Many thanks we've all-but reached $4000, and with it doubled (as I match it 'dollar for dollar') that's $8000. Off to build the orphanage now in the 1st 2 weeks of November. Thank you all so much - I am very humbled by your support.

  • Tomorrow is the Day!

      17 October 2014

I'm nervously watching the weather reports and praying Jim is wrong... hoping for no wind, a bit of cloud cover and for the rain to hold off! I've just added a map of our route if you want to check it out. Will be carbo-loading pasta for dinner tonight!

  • The countdown is on! The ride is this Saturday...

      15 October 2014

Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me so far! We are almost half way to our goal, which is fantastic. This Saturday is the big day; I've driven the route and booked the ferry to come back. Four other guys are now riding with me, which will make such a difference - 180km is a long way. I've been out training and am praying the weather will be fine!! Thanks everyone for your support!
