  • Mad Monday Hotting Up

      18 August 2012

Mad Monday?#5 sees an ex silver medal winner at the world rowing?championship (masters), has?put his hand?up to take on Duncan. Kelvin Maker who has more than 25 years experience on both the water and the erg has decided enough is enough, and?is confident of making Duncan pay. Time will tell. Good luck to both of you!??????????

Mad?Monday challenger #4 Matt?Baker got off to a flyer and was ahead after?the first 1000m. The middle stages however saw Duncan gradually move ahead but a fantastic effort to get through the 10km by Matt. A most enjoyable challenge - thanks Matt. • MAD MONDAY #3 (6 August)

      10 August 2012

Mad Monday #3 took on a different twist with a 3?pronged relay?challenge, consisting of Hannah, Bex and Kevin, all out of the Otago Rowing?Club. It would be fair to say the challengers pushed Duncan every inch of the way and in?the final sprint to the finish line, Duncan just?managed to sneak in ahead,?and in the meantime smash his PB by 14 seconds. A very enjoyable challenge and thanks to?Hannah, Bex and Keven along with the Clark family?who did a four family relay of their own on the erg next door. Final times: Duncan 39:18? Challengers 39:38.???????????????????

  • Mad Monday Challenge #2

      30 July 2012

Challenge?#2 happened?tonight with a spirited effort from?physio?Kurt.? Kurt has been in training for tonight for a while now and started?off with a hiss and a roar, and keeping up the?pace for the first 5k. The dreaded ""erg"" has a habit?though of seemingly getting harder the more you row, and?Kurts?excellent effort just fell short of Duncan's time at the finish. Final times: Kurt 42:48m?and Duncan 39:47m. Challenges being accepted for the upcoming weeks - get in quick.

  • Duncan and Jess sing Mamma Mia - Watch the Video

      25 June 2012

Wow, what an incredible week with such amazing generosity from so many people - we thank you! Despite the constant and strong treatments Jess has undergone over the past few months it still amazes me that she has stayed so upbeat.? We've been fortunate in that every time we've visted, all Jess has wanted to do has been play and sing and dance with us - she is a real treasure! Have a look under the Videos tab where you'll find Jess and Duncan singing and grooving along to Mamma Mia - love it!

  • The Challenge Begins!

      18 June 2012

Today, Duncan will row his first metre of many (one million to be exact).? This is?going to be a?tough challenge for him. That said, don't be afraid to set Duncan further challenges.? Or, alternatively look to sponsor him per day, or simply donate as you can.? Any support is very much appreciated thank you!
