About the cause:
Lucy was born deaf and suffers from a severe to profound hearing loss in both her ears. We are raising money to fund a second cochlear implant for Lucy which will enable her to hear properly at school and keep learning.
Lucy received a cochlear implant a couple of years ago but sadly that implant has failed and she will shortly undergo surgery to have it replaced. She has also experienced a few periods of complete hearing loss in her non-implanted ear. We are trying to raise funds for a second implant to give Lucy the best hearing she can get.
