I've had a pretty rough couple of years with ill health - I haven't had a decent holiday in years. I need a break!

A bit over a year ago I began a health crisis that forced me to quit my job and has left me unable to do much of anything since. My health was already pretty rubbish before then (Fibromyalgia) I am still undiagnosed with the new issues. I have not had a real holiday in quite a few years - between illness taking any sick/holidays I have saved and then taking any spare money I might accumulate it just hasn't been possible. Now I have the potential to combine a holiday AND meeting my favourite celebrity in one long weekend in Auckland. I would like to be able to attend Armageddon Expo 2015 but raising the money more conventionally isn't going to be possible in time.

Funding will be used to pay for airfares to Auckland from Christchurch; Accomodation & for entry to the Armageddon Event at ASB Arena in October. Also for the opportunity to meet my favourite actor & have a photo taken with him. I will need to take my adult daughter with me to provide support during the weekend.

OK, fundraiser all over and done; so now for the fun bit:

Kitty and I would like to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts, we both really need this break and the excitement is quite palapable in the air (everytime there is a lull in conversation one of us will go "ARMAGEDDON")

Between online selling of my wares (thanks to everyone who bought some of my pretties - I'm packaging up a bunch for overseas today) and donations via givealittle and paypal (thank you to everyone who gave, everyone who pushed me to ask, and everyone who cheered from the sidelines) enough was raised that:

We are booked into a nice motel just across the road from the venue, WE HAVE EMERALD VIP PASSES (which the added bonus of the VIP lounge where I can go recharge and take meds will be a fine thing) Beth Dawson that LUSH dress you gave me will finally get a proper outing to the VIP cocktail party) and we won't have any concerns over starving to death or sleeping on park benches. (No we haven't forgotten about booking flights we just haven't done it yet - a couple of people nominated us to thte Air New Zealand Fairy so we'll give that a chance to happen, since all our luck seems to be playing into this event wink emoticon )

10 weeks. Holy shit we'll go mad. Love you all.
