Christchurch learnt that one of the biggest supports after a disaster is a friendly face offering support. We have a system developed over 5 earthquake cleanups where we match needs with resources available. Two members of the Volunteer Army are traveling to NY to share our learnings with locals and assist in organising a Volunteer Army.

Our major fundraising focus right now is to roll out more SVA clubs at Unis, polytechs and highschools in 2014.
In 2012-13 we've moved the Student Volunteer Army beyond disaster response and into helping communities with their everyday needs.
