Samuel is a highly intelligent five year old (IQ138) who is being held back by his Autism. Therapy will help him overcome this hurdle.

Samuel has been having ABA therapy for 18 months now and the improvement in his behaviour has been amazing. Unfortunately as a single mother of two special needs children (his older brother has Spina bifida), the cost is becoming too much. Samuel attends one session a fortnight at a cost of $230, plus expenses of travelling the 90 minute round trip. There are additional costs of learning aids, special toys etc. He also has an annual Psychologist assessment at around $1,000. In between sessions I try and continue therapy at home. As well as behaviour issues we are also working on speech as Samuel is currently non-verbal. He is starting to be very vocal and is babbling constantly with a few words every now and then. He has an amazing sense of humour, so to have an actual conversation would be a dream. Samuel also has issues with food. He currently only eats about five different foods. If he adds something new to his limited range, he will drop something out.
The expense, time and effort of this therapy has been hard but definitely well worth it, Samuel has come such a long way. But there is still a very long way still to go and he will need therapy for many years but without it he will not reach his full potential. With your help he can do it!
Samuel's started school in May which has been a bit of a rollercoaster but all in all he is doing well. He loves numbers in particular. He has also become a huge Wiggles fan like his brother and will only wear in Wiggles tops, with Bob the Builder a poor second when Wiggles are being washed.
I am Samuels mother doing the best I can for my little man.
