Let's help Aneliese kick cancer to the curb and make her the best cookbook ever!!
Waikato
This family was meant to be spending the school holidays shopping, baking and going to rainbows end....instead they are in starship Hospital with their beautiful 12 year old Aneliese taking on the biggest fight of their lives! 3 days of headaches has turned into a cancerous brain tumor. Surgery on 14.07.2015 to remove it, the surgeons are confident they got it but there is still a long journey in front of them. Aneliese loves to cook, so her Mum Erika has asked everybody to send in their favourite recipes to Aneliese. When they are back home again they are going to cook all these recipes together. We are fundraising to help get this cookbook under way and to help them on this journey.
Anelieses Mum Erika has had to give up full time work to be with Aneliese while she is in Starship. Once Aneliese has recovered from surgery, they will start on chemo and radiation. This is going to involve a lot of travel between home in Hamilton and back to Starship in Auckland to be done. This is where the givealittle page will help them out with the cost of travel and accommodation during this horrible journey they have found themselves on.
Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful recipes and the support for Aneliese and her family. Please share and like this campaign!
Aneliese is my 12 year old niece and I needed to help my brother and his family anyway possible during this horrible path they have found themselves on!
Aneliese doing well 6 September 2015
thanks so much everyone for all the recipes, books and donations - Aneliese is overwhelmed with how many people have rallied around. She is recovering amazingly well from surgery and has been in the kitchen baking for the awesome ream at Starship. She is almost 1/2 way through radiotherapy and feeling good the majority of the time. We are very lucky!
Every cent donated as made a difference, it is a blessing during this horrible time for our family to be able to treat Aneliese and indulge her love of cooking.
