Disability Bathroom Hoist breakdown and repairs shock bill of $2500

In 2013 I got a new bathroom hoist paid for from the Ministry of Health to help me with my cares, 6 weeks ago it stopped working, it went away to be fixed, now I have found out that the Ministry won't pay for the repairs and it has cost $2,500.00 to get it fixed, they say I have to pay for it and that is why I need your help please if you can. Hoists are a necessary part of my everyday life, I wish they weren't but they are.
