It is with a heavy heart and bruised soul that I write to inform you all of Charlie's passing. She slipped quietly to the other side late last night.

Thank you so much to all of you, for your kind words, prayers and generous donations to Charlie and her family. This money helped hugely, to find a path for Charlie's treatment, to ease the financial burden, and ultimately help them set up for the gorgeous wee Ryder's arrival.

The family wish to thank you for everything, the generosity of your all is truly astounding and very much appreciated.

Our thoughts and hearts are now with Shawn and Ryder as they face their future without their beloved.

Me te aroha tino nui atu, Charlie. Fly free xx

    Update #3:

Monday rolled around and Charlie and Shawn made their way back to the hospital to begin the planning of Charlie's treatment and baby Ryder's birth.

Here are the plans as of last night (30/11/15):

Firstly, baby Ryder will be delivered tomorrow. Due to the discovery of a small but potentially dangerous tumour in Charlie's brain (found in the MRI on Friday) is has been deemed too much of a risk to fly her to Australia while she is pregnant. It will even be a risk for her to fly out later this week. But it is a chance she has to take.

The cancer continues to grow aggressively and the sooner treatment starts the better, even though it means she will have to leave Ryder in New Zealand.

So this week is not going to be an easy one. A mother has to leave her baby behind, rather that risk both lives by flying. Difficult decisions, heart breaking decisions. Charlie hopes that if the treatment goes well she will be reunited in the new year with Ryder when he is well enough to fly out.

So today they collect their thoughts, rest up and get ready for the events to come.

    From Charlie (01/12/15):

Today along with collaborating with medical teams of doctors, midwives, nurses, oncologists, anesthesitists & pediatrician's we get some down time to contemplate our big day ahead tomorrow when we will be welcoming the arrival of our little boy. It's going to be a very eventful day!

Kia kaha to you both Mr & Mrs Elsmore, all our love and thoughts are with you.

Once again to the Givealittle community, you are simply amazing! Thank you for supporting Charlie, Shawn and baby Ryder through this.

    Kiri.

Shawn and Charlie tied the knot in a beautiful and emotionally charged ceremony at the Auckland City Hospital Chapel on Saturday afternoon.

Here is a heartfelt Thank you from both Charlie and Shawn to everyone that has helped:

Shawn & I would like to extend our deepest gratitude & thanks to each and everyone who went above & beyond to help us celebrate our shotgun wedding in style.

Thanks to the Auckland City Hospital for allowing us to use the chapel & the staff of ward 98 women's maternity for the empathy & utmost care they have shown us.

Thanks to Ronald McDonald House Auckland for accommodating our family and friends & for all the extra touches they thoughtfully put into our special day.

Thanks to our family and friends that travelled form far & wide at the drop of a hat to be with us & share what turned out to be a perfect day, it wouldn't have been the same & we couldn't have done it without you. Also to the family & friends who couldn't be here, but showered us with beautiful gifts, generous donations & love, many thanks. We'll never forget it.

Special thanks to my bridal party & girlfriends who came together & helped to create a beautiful day which we will forever hold dear to our hearts.

Once again special thanks to Kerri Walser our Gisborne midwife & her team of colleagues for an amazing weekend of rest & recuperation at the Langham Hotel.

Big thanks to the fb community for the absolutely amazing outpouring of love & support and everyone who has so generously donated to the cause. Words cannot describe our appreciation and gratitude at this pivotal time in our lives.

Lastly a big thank you to Kiri and the Pengelly family for setting up the Givealittle page which will go a long way to help us with what lies ahead.

What an amazing response! On behalf of Charlie, Shawn and Baby, thank you so much!

Charlie and Shawn are just blown away at the support that they have received so far.

Good news everyone! The brain MRI can back clear(ish) today! So a real positive note to finish the day on.

Also, Charlie and Shawn will be making it official and will be getting married tomorrow in the Auckland Domain! It's all about making great memories and stories now. Stories that can be shared by us all with Baby when he arrives, stories that will enrich the lives of us all and give us something to cherish and hold close to our hearts.

Hi I just needed to put this to you for Charlie. I know many may not believe in natural cures but have you read about doTERRA Frankincense essential oil and the miracles it is creating!? It is a major in killing cancer cells and is one of the only oils that can pass through the blood brain barrier! People have got rid of brain tumors using it. This is the only brand of essential oil that can be ingested too. I was so upset to see your post I needed to mention this as it has been scientifically proven not just airy fairy people trying to sell their product. I use it for an auto immune disease I have, I have now no syptoms at all. I have 4 children and a friend of mine lost her husband 4 months after their 1st baby was born to melanoma. So! I really felt devastated to read this. I didnt have money that I could donate so I wanted to offer help in another way... to be able to supply her with totally wholesale pricing on the doTERRA Frankincense and any other oils if she doesnt have access to it at the wholesale price through anyone else. It is an expensive product as is of the highest quality. So want to help her to give it a go!. I hope she does. She should also be on high dose vitamin C mixed with MSM to transport it into the cells and absorb where needed. Clinicians have a good vitamin c. Oh my heart goes out to this family. It was hard enough to be diagnosed with my condition with having 4 kiddies. I was so worried for them. But we are doing grt now. If Charlie is interested please dont hesitate to call me. 0212224551. At least find Frankincense online and read about what it does.

Kindest regards and deepest wishes to you and the family you are supporting. Good on you!
