Help us with our project to keep Kiwi babies and toddlers warm with good New Zealand wool.
Nationwide
Our aim is to support community organisations in their goal of getting more babies and children into pure wool garments. We have been helping organisations like Plunket, Pregnancy Help, hospitals, pre-schools, and numerous others in New Zealand with this project for 11 years now. Wool breathes and allows babies body temperatures to self-regulate, whereas artificial fabrics, such as polar fleece, don’t do this, which can result in babies overheating. Also, artificial fabrics can be a fire hazard, where wool is fire retardant. With this in mind, we’re helping community organisations with supplying Kiwi babies and toddlers with warm blankets and garments, including singlets, jerseys, hats and slippers. We are asking for your help to purchase more yarn and cover volunteer costs.
We have been around since 2002, providing services including parenting courses, One-on-One Mentoring, our 3 day Empowering Positive Change programme, our Empowering Our Youth camps, and our Knitting For Plunket & The Community project.
Helping with the purchase of wool and costs of keeping the Knitting for Plunket and the Community project going.
